Before you videotape . . .
- Clean your home very well to give a great first impression.
- If it looks a little cluttered after you've finished cleaning, store some of the extra stuff in the attic, basement or garage.
- Shoot your video during the day with all the shades and drapes open, letting in all of the day light.
- Turn on all of the lights in your home.
- Walk the path you want the tour to take a few times so you don't have to think about it when you are videotaping.
While you are videotaping . . .
- Walk very, very slowly.
- When you move the camera side to side do it very, very slowly.
- As you walk through each room, describe its features. These will later be incorporated into your Tour A House Internet House Tour video
- Always keep the camera rolling to give your tour a more natural feel.
After you've finished videotaping . . .
- Review your tour. If you don't like anything about it, do it again.
- Rewind the tape to the start of your video tour, not the beginning of the tape.
