Before you videotape . . .

  • Clean your home very well to give a great first impression.
  • If it looks a little cluttered after you've finished cleaning, store some of the extra stuff in the attic, basement or garage.
  • Shoot your video during the day with all the shades and drapes open, letting in all of the day light.
  • Turn on all of the lights in your home.
  • Walk the path you want the tour to take a few times so you don't have to think about it when you are videotaping.
